They only search a purpose for gliding. It can be a pain to find proper outfits, but I do manage. Truely, I could use a hanglider instead, but I'm not stupid and fear there would be an...accident.

... honestly. i dunno if it would be considered a luxury exactly, but part of me likes humans not being willing to mess with me. being the top dog, so to speak. there's so few monsters, it's hard not to feel 'special', right?

it does matter. i need to be able to look at myself in the mirror after all.

but i don't really care what anyone else thinks of me, anymore. and it's not just because of here- i was getting there before too. when... when things went bad after my arrest, and everyone started looking at me differently. i was so mad all the time.

people would whisper about how i was dangerous and part of me was just- 'yeah, i am'

being here just makes that part louder.

[It takes a full twenty seconds before Akechi replies, having to briefly put the phone down before things got too...indecent. Maybe it's the elegant simplicity of the reply to his words that gets his own imagination going. The thought frightens him at how he doesn't seem all that worried anymore ]

Why? Are you going to finally try to kill me? I've been bored.

[With Akechi that could mean so many things. Layers upon layers of meanings. He gives the name of a club he's been to once every week at the very least (with Akira alway welcomed to join him), explaining perhaps why he was suddenly wanting to discussing luxury. Then, he adds;]

Of course I could leave and go somewhere else, if you'd like.

[Going to the club is tempting. Showing up without warning and ambushing Akechi. But right now, after talking even a little about this hate inside him... he's feeling a little too raw for that. He doesn't want to, for once, play a game]

[Come home... it's strange. He never really had considered it as such until now. It was more like an apartment, a place to sleep during most days.

His right hand idly claws at the table before he realizes it, and he quickly pays for his drinks before getting up and typing as he exits the venue. It must have looked bizarre to the humans passing by him to see him move with such a purpose, his face oddly a little more redder than usual, a small wisp of smoke escaping his lips.]

[Now that is unusual for him to type, but 'very well' or 'understood' would have taken more time and somehow Goro doesn't seem to think he has much of it. He holds his communication device tightly before a gust of wind propels him into the air with a speed and violence that mimicked his own mind. Anticipation, fear, longing all at once. It's a rather deadly cocktail for someone like him, nothing like what the brightly colored alcoholic drinks could have even provided him, but just as deadly in such large doses all the same.

He arrives with such speed that he doesn't bother to enter the front door, using his shadow form to sneak in between the cracks of his window. Wither Akira is in Goro's room or his own, the goblin turns back into his monster form, a little more hungry for his efforts. The spikes on his elbows which he usually carefully pulls inward to order to give himself a more human appearance are now unconsciously pushed outwards, giving him a princely look. Whatever happened, he'd need to...hunt after this. This being...well, he isn't quite sure yet, his eyes looking at the room to see if Akira is there or not before taking a step on the hardwood floor to announce his presence.]

[And it says a lot that while Akira was not in the room itself he was lingering nearby, his ears perking the moment he hears Akechi's foot falls. He turns, looking in the open doorway, eyes bright cherry-blood red]

[His tone lacks any humor, just honest almost breathy surprise. Looks like they are both pretty tuned up]

[He's still gasping for his breath as he looks up and his eyes dart to Akira's own. It's hard to miss them, considering how bright they are. A smile creeps up to his face as he grins with his pointed teeth - a strong sense of pride at Akira's words.]

Well...we can't all be so lucky to have teleportation powers, so I do my best to make up for it.

[He steps into the room, closing the door behind him and leaning against it. His stance is relaxed and at ease, but his gold-dipped tail was twitching like a hunting cat's]

Well, it's a little flattering. Or was the club that boring?

[He watches him with interest, before Goro realizes that he might have sounded...overzealous?]

[He can't even come up with a proper excuse.]

[It makes him grin, showing off his fangs]

[He blushes and starts fiddling with one of his curls]

[Normally Akechi would see the blushing as a sign of weakness, but right now it feels oddly...tender? Is that the word he was searching for?

Shit. He hates this. He hates how Akira makes him feel emotions that he thought had been dead and buried for years.]

[Sadly he can't talk adoringly for long. This is Goro Akechi, after all. He stands near the window, wishing he had something to fiddle with.]

[He can feel a stalemate starting to build between them, a wall of awkwardness and uncertainty.

But Akechi came. And in a hurry too. And it wasn't like Akira had indicated some kind of emergency either. It's enough to make him bold, and he pushes off the door to approach]

I mean it though. I'm glad you came. I... wanted to see you face to face.

[Now this is something he understands more. Confrontation. Rivalry. The push to bring the worst out in each other.]

Why, did you forget how I look already? Or was it the talk of luxury?

[He is, after all wearing a rather damper outfit, complete with a golden chain pinning both sides in a clasp that could easily remind Akira of the same one Loki used to have.]

All the talk DID get my attention though, yeah.

[His eyes narrow a bit as he says that. Waiting. Anticipating.]

[He comes closer, making them almost toe to toe, reaching up to trace his claws along Akechi's shoulder]

You know that. I've always been weak to risk.

[It IS nice that they are toe to toe (or hoof to claw) now, instead of Akira towering over him. At the slight touch, there's smoke exiting his mouth. It's honestly more for show than anything else. Akira is immune to fire now, after all.]

I suppose I like being reminded about it. Maybe that's why you're a luxury to me.

The luxury of someone that can keep up with you? Who wants that thrill?

[He doesn't say 'who isn't scared of you' because that's not true. What is danger without fear? Not worth anything at all. The excitement comes from knowing it and coming back anyway]
