The first one, I think. I mean, the others definitely remember having the same name before coming to the facility. And it sounds right to me.

[Something about how Nine says it makes Ren's chest hurt, and he turns, leaning on the counter]

So you didn't have another name before Nine?

Nope, but I don't really remember anything before Mother brought me there. It's all a huge blank. Like...it all feels empty when I think about it.

[ Rubbing the back of his head as he thinks about it. He doesn't seem bothered by it... just puzzled. ]

[ His breath catches at that. And then Ren is moving away. Grinning a bit. Yeah, he's totally innocent. ]

Hey, they won't mind if we're a little late.

'A little late' would be tomorrow morning and you know it. Now eat your noodles.

[He hands them over with a fork]
