[Look, he's seen how much Ren would prepare for Palaces and Mementos- maybe it's not surprising that Akira is the same! Better to bring more things then they need than not enough.]

[He wiggles his fingers, still bright pink with embarrassment. He's not sure he could stand it if Akechi asked him how he knows this]

Okay, hold on-

[He cranes his head out the window so he can see the edge of the roof, and-

-fwoof! In a burst of flames they are above the rooftoop, Akira spreading his wings to ease the slightly heavy landing]

[Okay, this is true, internal narrator. Somehow Akechi expected differently for this. And yet, so very much like him.]

...I see.

[It's okay they can both be embarrassed and stupid today. As he's about to say something more Akechi like and insulting suddenly they are on the roof.]

Alright. Let's go.

[Before he has a reconsideration. The wind picks up violently and nearly flings them into the air way higher than the calculated trajectory to the nearest beach.]

[Akira squawks slightly at the sudden wind, flapping his wings in a bit of a panic before he evens out.

Shit. Was Akechi getting pissed? Second guessing this? He frowns softly, coasting along to get as close as he can without the risk of their wings clipping and sending one or both of them to the ground. He has to yell over the wind]

...you okay?

I'm fine, dammit!

[He yells back, his face still looking rather red. See? He's fine. He'd probably whisk them back home if he really wasn't sure. The wind actually starts to speed up as they swooshed in the air and they move towards their destination. It's going to be a rough landing, but nothing two monsters can't survive.]

[ah. The speeding up answers that question. Eager? Or at least set enough on this to not even consider backing out. It makes Akira smirk.

Though the smirk drops when they land. Hard. He's been flying for a lot less time then Akechi, after all! So he fumbles and eats sand]

[Akechi isn't quite as so lucky to fumble, what with the wind suddenly stopping so he doesn't overuse his powers to the point that he'd be more hungry than do anything else, so he lands violently backwards as the spikes on his elbows and the horns on his face manage to slow and cushion his fall. Somewhat.

But now he's stuck with his feet in the air for a few brief seconds. If Akira manages to see him, he'll loudly curse before pushing himself out.]

[He only sees the last few moments before Akechi gets up, spitting sand out as he does the same.

... he manages to not laugh. it's a hard thing, but he knows Akechi would Not Appreciate It.]

I think we broke a flight record.

[Oh good, Akira didn't notice (he thinks, or at least wants to think). He dusts off the sand from his outfit. Which, well, looks a little worse for wear. Urgh. He'd need t bring it to the cleaners.]

I believe I was faster getting home.

[Ahh yes. A competition. Always. Forever.]

[the awkward prep and the flight cooled him down a little, but not completely. So his voice purrs as he walks over, tail swishing. All this rushing really IS flattering]

[Akechi is still just the type to be completely alienish to what is about to happen. The flame still burns inside of him, but using those powers has lowered it's...potency for now. Enough that while seeing Akira walking towards him is rather tempting, he also carefully looks around to make sure they are...alone.

Then he slams a clawed foot into the ground, the sand and mud moving around until it forms some sort of basic walled structure.

Luxury, Akira.

He won't make out in the open air like some sort of low-life exhibitionist.]

[he whistles, impressed]

Whoa... you're gonna be starving later, you know.

[A double meaning, if there ever was one. Should they quickly look around for a poor victim or wait until later.]

[Logic says they should absolutely hunt. Good sense.

Instead:]

I mean, if you ate me that wouldn't even be the third worst date I've been on.

[He hesitates for a second before laughing. Clearly amused.]

No, I don't think I'd like seeing you shrivel right in front of me.

[That's almost a compliment?]

[That makes him grin, and he reaches out to dust some of the sand off Akechi's spikes, fingers lingering a bit]

You know... if you want to hunt right now we can. We don't even have to do anything else. I WANT to- I want you to know that. But it's not... imperative.

... though I gotta admit, the idea of fooling around while you're a little hunger-feral isn't a BAD look.

[A little smoke curls out of his nose, some of that excitement flaring up again. Still, this is important to state outright.]

[Flattery will get you everywhere Akira. There's that weird purr again.]

I always suspected you enjoyed Black Mask's look more than my Princely one. I suppose it would be...interesting. I'm not to the point of complete insanity. Yet.

[It's more like craving a burger right now than being starved for one. He moves them closer to each other again.]

Well then. Step into my parlor, said the spider to the fly...

[And as Akechi leads them closer, Akira's tail coils around his leg]

Lead the way.

[He is quite charmed by this little sand wall-dome thing.]

[Oh that is certainly not an unpleasant feeling, he decides.]

Very well.

[Trying not to fall from having a tail around one of his legs, he basically goes to sit inside, setting down the covers from his bed that he bought. It's not comfortable at all, but hey it means there won't be sand on them for what they are about to do. More time to think about each other and let loose completely. Hopefully he can follow up.]

[He takes his satchel off and sets it aside as well, within easy grabbing distance]

[It's taken nearly a year for him to be comfortable about it, and even then, there's still that lingering voice in the back of his head. Always constantly reminding him that he doesn't deserve this.]

[he laughs softly, though it's clearly self deprecating rather than at Akechi]

Farthest I've managed is a really bad handy and I touched a bare boob once so... for once let's hold off on the rival thing a little.

[he rests his forehead on Akechi's shoulder, avoiding the spines as best he can and his horns probably poking him a little]

[It's a lot to take in. For all their rivalry, in the end they are both two teenagers who just happened to go on a magical journey caused by gods and idiots trying to become gods.

He tries to pull in his spins as much as he can so it doesn't harm Akira. Little details and touches that betray his usual nature.
